Our client, a Local Government Organisation based in Sydney area are currently looking for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Workshop mechanic to assist with maintenance of Local Government assets. I.e. Fleet, Waste Trucks, Plant, Equipment.
The position is 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Sutherland
Hours;
Monday to Thursday 1pm-930pm
Friday 12pm-4pm
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience in mechanical repair of heavy plant, trucks and equipment
Experience in tyre fitting and repairs
Experience and licence to operate Heavy Rigid Trucks
Experience in welding
Ability to undertake administrative tasks such as maintaining records and ordering parts/services
White card
A Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Authority (MVRIA) Motor Mechanic Certificate is also required
A Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Automotive Certification Required
Previous Government experience - Highly desirable
