About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to manage and report on the financial data of the company. You’ll be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing company accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. This is a hands-on role that works cross-functionally with other departments to support the business with reliable, timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee core accounting functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations

Manage month-end close including journals and general ledger reconciliations

Analyse complex processes and financial system data

Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations including BAS, VAT, and others

Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls

Manage inventory and COGS accounting, including account reconciliation

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax consultants as needed

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (essential)

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards

Experience in an eCommerce or fast-paced retail environment is highly preferred

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis from multiple sources

Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
