The Opportunity

This is a wonderful opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional to join an industry leading organisation embarking on an accelerated growth trajectory. The executive leadership team and the private equity owners are passionate and ambitious about the organisation's potential to significantly grow in the coming years.

Joining in a newly created role, the Senior Accountant will assist the CFO with the timely and accurate closing of the month end, as well as audits, and yearly reporting. The suitable candidate might have started in professional services and have already made their first move into an industry role, or you might have demonstrated industry experience in a similar environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious ad bright finance professional to make their mark in a market leading business.

The Challenge

Reporting into the CFO, your key responsibilities will include:

• Complete the end-to-end monthly reporting process in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist with the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, Capital Projects and Capital related reporting
• Prepare the monthly cash forecasting
• Prepare the monthly BAS as well as annual tax and FBT returns.
• Monthly reconciliation of account balances and prompt follow-up of discrepancies
• Assist with annual audit and financial statements preparation
• Capture additional value through efficiency and undertake continuous improvement opportunities while assisting seeting up new procedures and processes.
• Ad hoc tasks as requested by the CFO (ie assist with budgeting & forecasting process)

The Expertise

To be considered for this opportunity it is likely you will possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualified, ideally you commenced your career in professional services
• Minimum 4 years in a relevant finance role
• Exposure to some tax will be viewed upon favourably
• Experience within a private equity owned portfolio company will be looked upon favourably
• High achievement drive with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Continuous improvement mindset, willingness to question the status quo and set up new processes.
