Are you a hands-on Mechanical Project Engineer looking for your next challenge in HVAC? We’re working with a highly respected mechanical contractor who delivers a variety of service, upgrade and minor works projects across commercial, healthcare, aged care, and institutional sectors. They’re now looking to bring a Mechanical Project Engineer into their Sydney-based team to support continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work.

About the Role:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of HVAC projects from early-stage design and documentation through to installation and commissioning. You’ll work closely with project managers, drafters, subcontractors and clients to ensure technical outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• HVAC design including heat load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection
• Assisting with the development of detailed workshop drawings
• Supporting commissioning processes and preparing management plans
• Conducting site inspections and providing regular progress reports
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and trades to ensure smooth project delivery
• Reviewing documentation to ensure technical compliance with codes and standards (NCC, Australian Standards)
• Contributing to quality assurance and supporting the project team as needed

About You:

• 3+ years’ experience in mechanical services, with strong exposure to HVAC design and project delivery
• Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
• Sound knowledge of NCC and Australian Standards
• Proficient with design tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Camel, Bluebeam)
• Comfortable liaising with stakeholders and working on live sites
• Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
• A team player with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
