The Opportunity
Due to several significant project wins, the team is looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to support their Major Projects division. Reporting to a Project Lead Engineer, you’ll gain hands-on experience across both design and site phases, playing a pivotal role in delivering technically challenging HVAC solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical services design and documentation for large-scale D&C projects
• Perform detailed engineering calculations including chilled water systems, heat loads, pump sizing, etc.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients during project delivery
• Conduct site inspections to ensure design intent and installation quality
• Support in services coordination, value engineering, and commissioning phases

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

• 5–10 years’ experience working with a mechanical contractor on D&C projects
• Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, mechanical ventilation, and load calculations
• Exposure to projects valued at $15 million+ in sectors such as healthcare, defence or data centres
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to develop technical and site-based skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
