Location: ACT, NSW, VIC

Contract: 6 months + 2×6-month extensions

About the Role

Are you a seasoned IT professional with a passion for secure, high-performance networks? We're seeking a Networking Specialist to lead infrastructure and cyber initiatives for a high-impact government agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, WAN, and internet connectivity.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate across teams to enhance SIEM capabilities (Microsoft Sentinel).
• Lead incident reporting and investigations.

Skills & Experience

Mandatory:

• Hands-on experience with:
  Zscaler | Fortinet/Fortigate | WLANs | SDWAN | ZIA & ZPA | KQL | Aruba Switches/APs
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Associate-level Microsoft certification (specify).
• Current Federal Police Check.
• Baseline Security Clearance.

Desirable:

• Formal IT qualification.
• Experience with Linux/Windows system administration and infrastructure management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Organised, proactive, and outcome-focused.
