Our client is a leading IT managed service provider and we are seeking a skilled System & Network Administrator to provide short-term coverage during a period of leave. This role requires a strong background in IT infrastructure, Windows Server administration, and networking. It is a hybrid role with a mix of onsite and remote support, offering flexibility based on mutual agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure operations.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for Windows Server environments.
• Manage and support virtualisation systems, particularly Hyper-V.
• Administer backup and recovery systems, primarily Veeam.
• Perform networking tasks, including configuring and maintaining switches, VLANs, and wireless access points (Ubiquiti experience is beneficial but not mandatory).
• Support and maintain security systems, including Web Filters and WatchGuard firewalls.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless continuity of IT projects and operations.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary Education, or relevant industry qualifications.
• Min. 3+ years of experience working as Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer or Network Engineer.
• Proven experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 administration.
• Strong knowledge of Hyper-V and virtualisation best practices.
• Expertise in backup solutions such as Veeam.
• Basic to intermediate networking skills, including routing, switching, VLANs, and wireless networking.
• Familiarity with web filtering solutions (Linewize or similar).
• Experience with WatchGuard firewalls or comparable security systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Contract Rate: $450-$550 per Day (incl. super)
