Job Description – Accounting Graduate

Position Type: Full Time – 38 hours per week
Reports to: Principal and Group General Manager
Location: Townsville

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Graduate to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will work closely with the Principal and Group General Manager (GGM), providing timely, accurate, and up-to-date financial assistance to support key business operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to build a strong foundation in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a professional and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Work directly with senior management to support financial operations and decision-making

Assist with cash flow monitoring, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting

Perform daily receipting of trust funds in accordance with legal and internal requirements

Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure ongoing trust account compliance

Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records

Support in preparing internal reports and documentation as required

Assist with general accounting tasks and administrative duties as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

Recently completed or near completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior leaders

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with trust accounting systems is an advantage)

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

A willingness to learn and contribute to a team-focused environment
