About the Role

As a Housekeeping & Guest Services Officer, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining the comfort, cleanliness, and sacred feel of the site. Your care for the environment helps ensure guests have a positive and restorative experience.

This is a varied casual role ideal for someone who enjoys people-focused work and is aligned with the calm and mission-led environment of a retreat setting. Shifts will be offered based on need, including weekdays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and cleaning guest rooms and shared spaces

Replenishing supplies and maintaining laundry

Supporting events with basic setup and refresh

Upholding health, safety, and confidentiality standards

Helping ensure the centre reflects the values of welcome and dignity

About You

You’ll bring a warm and professional attitude, a good eye for detail, and the ability to work independently. Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is ideal, but we’re also happy to train the right person.

You’ll need:

A calm, respectful presence in quiet or spiritual environments

Physical capacity to undertake manual tasks

Flexible, reliable, and willing to work across a range of tasks

Comfortable using booking systems, email, and basic computer tools

Supportive of the Josephite ethos and respectful of faith-based settings

Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

National Police Check (or willingness to complete prior to employment)
