About The Role
iOrthotics is looking for a passionate orthotic technician/CAD Designer to join our lab in Windsor. This is a full-time entry-level role, though the ideal candidate will have previous experience in manufacturing foot orthotic devices and a working knowledge of CAD/CAM technology, specifically within design.
Duties include:
Import foot scans and scripts from iOrthotics Lead Manager software
Prepare scans from via trimming and editing to suit Fit Foot 360 design software
Begin marking up the orthotic insole using Fit Foot 360 design software
Select the appropriate base template model and size according to Podiatrist recommendations
Design from Podiatrist 3D scan and script using Fit360 Design software
Manufacturing orthotics using 3D Printers
Prepare CAD files from external Labs ready to either Mill from EVA on our CNC router machines or;
Prepare CAD files from external Labs ready to Print in our MJF printers
Prepare and send jobs to the FDM printers.
Grinding and finishing off orthotics
Dispatch of both domestic and international orders
About You
To be successful in this role, we are seeking individuals who:
Are confident in a fast-paced environment
Are able to meet deadlines
Can work as part of a cohesive team
Previous experience with CAD design within orthotics is highly advantageous
Previous experience in a hands-on role is highly advantageous (Trade qualifications will be considered)
