Yawarra Community & Child Care Centre is a Community Controlled Aboriginal Organisation (ACCO) committed to delivering high quality learning experiences to children aged 2-5, with a capacity of 30 children per day. Located in Bidwill, our service is designed to cultivate a nurturing, Culturally Safe atmosphere, fostering children’s development, creativity and social skills.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Centre Director & Nominated Supervisor to take the lead in shaping the future of our service. As the Director, you will hold a pivotal role in shaping the Cultural & educational journey of our young learners. Your responsibility will include leading a team of dedicated educators, collaborating closely with families and the local community and ensuring high-quality care and education in alignment with our philosophy and values.

Who we are looking for

An experienced and inspiring Early Childhood leader who is committed to educational excellence and building a positive culture, strong management skills, a child-first philosophy, and a passion for supporting educators to be their best.

To be considered, you will have:

• Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved) or working towards

• NESA accreditation for ECT’s

• Minimum 2–5 years’ Director/Centre Manager experience in Early Childhood

• Strong leadership in team development, culture and retention

• An understanding of Aboriginal ways of knowing, being & doing

• Ability to establish, foster and nurture collaborative partnerships with families, our local community

• and other ACCO’s.

• Excellent knowledge of the NQS, EYLF, and the Education and Care National Law & Regulations

• Current NSW Working with Children Check

• Approved Child Protection Training

• First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification

• Confident communication, people management and administrative skills

• Proven ability to drive occupancy, build relationships and lead continuous improvement
