Parking Officer required to work at a Local Council on a temporary basis

Your new role

There is an opportunity to work as a Parking Officer at this Local Council on a temporary basis (initial 3 months with the possibility to extend). As a Parking Officer, this role will include conducting foot patrols of assigned areas, marking-up of tyres and patrolling areas within the municipality. You will be enforcing the Road Rules and issuing parking infringements where required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will possess good conflict management skills and good conflict resolution skills, good de-escalation skills and good customer skills. You will also have the ability to defuse difficult situations and will be able to communicate with members of the public in a confident and professional manner. You will also have high levels of fitness as this role will entail a lot of walking. You will also have the ability to work alone and unsupervised and will demonstrate enthusiasm and keenness in the role.
