The Role
We are searching for an experienced Senior Operations Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for managing a range of day-to-day administrative duties in operations including the allocation of vehicles and staff. We require a person who can develop positive working relationships, has strong communication skills and excellent time management and organisational skills. Experience in the Liquid Waste Industry will be highly regarded, however, not essential. This is an amazing opportunity that is not limited to an office background but also for a Senior Operator who is looking to take the next step in their career.
This role involves a wide range of varied tasks and is largely autonomous therefore you will need to be able to manage your own time, multitask and make sound business decisions unsupervised. The ideal candidate will be resilient, tenacious and have a strong business acumen.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
Provide customer service including answering incoming calls and enquiries
Assist in the management of all day-to-day operational activities including fleet and driver allocation and rostering ensuring daily plans are delivered and customer service requirements are met
Respond to reactive works and schedule programmed works
Manage a team of Operators including delivering positive feedback and / or disciplinary action when required
Provide assistance to the Operations Manager
Liaise with Project Managers with regards to site specific assets and equipment
Conduct site audits and visits
Ensure SWMS are available
Be available for the "On Call" rotating roster
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of administration experience
Liquid Waste / Transportation Industry experience is desirable (but not essential)
Ability to work with a variety of individuals / groups and build rapport
Ability to work well under pressure
Strong time management and prioritising skills
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Patient attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities
