Customer Service Representative – Government Agency

Location: Muswellbrook Service Centre
Pay Rate: $37.39 per hour + Super
Contract Length: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week (4 hours per day)
Roster: Monday to Friday, between 9:00am – 5:00pm (no public holidays)

We’re currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join a high-performing team within a NSW Government agency. This is an excellent opportunity to support the local community by providing face-to-face customer service at the local Service Centre.

Key Details:

• On-site role – contractors must be available to work all shifts in person
• Comprehensive training provided – full-time training (35 hours/week) for 5–10 weeks
• Training includes two off-site components (5 days each) in Penrith or Coffs Harbour
• Travel costs are covered by the agency
• Nesting phase will take place at local Service Centre before returning to your contracted 20-hour week

What We’re Looking For:

• Confident typing and use of mouse/monitor
• Strong email etiquette
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills, including:
  
• Tech-savvy individuals who can pick up new systems quickly
• Previous customer service or front desk experience beneficial
• A friendly, reliable, and professional approach to working with members of the public
