Upskill Global is dedicated to creating opportunities and supporting Indigenous talent in the workforce. We are seeking a passionate Indigenous Employment Mentor to guide and support Indigenous job seekers in their career journeys.

Role Overview:

As an Indigenous Employment Mentor, you will provide tailored career guidance, support, and resources to Indigenous individuals seeking employment. Your role will involve helping them navigate job opportunities, develop essential skills, and achieve their career goals. This role requires someone to work Hybrid and is designed for someone that is a go getter, intially this role will start of as part time with the view to move to full time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Career Mentorship: Offer personalized support and career advice to Indigenous job seekers.

- Cultural Guidance: Provide culturally relevant mentorship and integrate Indigenous perspectives into career development.

- Job Search Support: Assist with resume building, job search strategies, interview preparation, and networking.

- Resource Connection: Facilitate access to training programs, job opportunities, and other resources.

- Advocacy: Represent and support the needs of Indigenous job seekers within the organization and the broader community

- Workshop Facilitation: Running workshops with participants around gaining employment and developing skills for work.

Qualifications:

- Indigenous heritage with a deep understanding of cultural practices and employment challenges.

- Experience in mentoring, coaching, or career development.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to provide culturally sensitive support and guidance.
