About the Role

Join our warm and welcoming team at Busy Bees at Lara, where we care for up to 103 children in a nurturing environment. We are looking for a passionate and organised Chef to plan and prepare healthy meals that fuel our little learners every day.

As our centre's Chef, you will:

Prepare nutritious morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for all children

Cater for children with allergies, dietary needs, and cultural requirements

Order, manage and rotate food stock and maintain kitchen hygiene

Work alongside educators to build a healthy food culture at the centre

Ensure compliance with food safety, nutrition, and hygiene standards

Create weekly menus based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

A valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Experience working in a childcare environment

An understanding of nutrition for young children

Working with Children Check (Employee) – VIC requirement

Strong communication and time management skills
