The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) contributes to the leadership and implementation of strategic teaching and learning and change across the University through collaborative partnerships with Schools and Service Centres. CLT provisions professional learning for all teaching roles in the University to promote evidenced based and scholarly practice. Additionally, CLT leads the implementation of learning technologies across the University, delivery of learning support programs for students, and active support of Schools to deliver best practice curriculum design and assessment.
About the Opportunity
Working with other skilled members of CLT's Learning Technologies and Innovation team, as a member you'll be:
- Contributing to the leadership and implementation of strategic organisational change across the University through collaborative partnerships with Schools and Service Centres;
- Providing professional learning for all teaching roles in the University to promote evidenced based and scholarly practice
- Contributing to leadership and implementation of learning technologies across the University
- Providing active support of Schools to deliver best practice curriculum design and assessment
- Providing innovative learning skill development for students
About you
Qualification: Tertiary Qualification with subsequent relevant work experience, OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
Experience:
- Demonstrated successful experience in working within a higher education setting.
- Sound knowledge of IT systems within a higher education environment.
Customer Service: Identifying and developing positive working relationships with internal and customer service, listening to and understanding the needs of internal and external customers and exceeding customers’ needs to ensure satisfaction.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to work cooperatively with others to accomplish joint tasks and common objectives. Involves building positive working relationships with others and avoiding “win-lose” confrontations and a focus on preserving and strengthening the ongoing relationship.
Communication Skills: The ability to organise and present information, views and concepts in a concise, understandable and interesting format for a variety of audiences, from the organisations internal and external communities.
Resolving Problems: Anticipating and resolving problems, being proactive to minimise issues and initiating action to deal with problems when they arise. Involves balancing the need to be thorough with the need to make a timely decision and being creative and innovative when developing effective solutions.
Results Orientation and Accountability: Demonstrating initiative and commitment towards the completion of predetermined objectives, while focusing on an outcome which contributes to job and organisation success. Includes the ability to balance and prioritise tasks without losing sight of desired outcomes and remaining proactive.
