About the Role

The Test Automation Engineers will be responsible for the design, build, testing, deployment and maintenance of effective test automation solutions to ensure the quality, reliability and completeness of BDTI2 business systems deployed on Bureau platforms.

Key Duties

• Undertake test automation projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, vendor representatives and other IT teams / experts
• Contribute to the development and implementation of test automation strategies and plans and develop test scripts
• Execute / trigger test cases in accordance with agreed strategy /plan and timeframes
• Analyse and review test automation results, modify tests where necessary and provide reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues and recommendations for improvement
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, vendor representatives and other IT teams / experts to discuss test results and ensure that issues / problems that arise during test automation are resolved efficiently
• Undertake manual testing, when appropriate

Skills / Experience

• Experience in implementing and maintaining Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) automated testing frameworks,
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Typescript, and Javascript,
• Desirable: Experience in automating tests for AWS hosted applications,
• Desirable: Experience in triggering the execution of automated tests in a CI such as Gitlab, Jenkins, and MS Azure DevOps, and
• Desirable: Experience in the use of Microsoft Playwright in testing GUIs of web applications.

These roles are at the APS5 or APS6 level. You will be employed directly by the ABS on a non-ongoing contract for 9-months. These roles can be located in any state or territory.
