CGS Equipment (“CGS”) is a leading distributor of high-quality mixing and pumping equipment for all things concrete, grout and screed. We are a fast-growing, family-owned business.

A full-time Technician / Senior Technician position is available for a mechanically-minded individual who takes pride in their work. The position is located in our workshop (Blacktown NSW).

Daily tasks & responsibilities:

Pre-delivery inspections on all new equipment

Fault finding, diagnostics and repair recommendations (in workshop, on-site, over the phone)

Scheduled maintenance and repair works on customer equipment

Dispatch checks and return checks for all hire equipment

Lead workshop builds (including mounting equipment to trucks)

Support / Leading external training sessions, equipment commissioning and product demonstrations

Support / Lead internal training sessions

Quality check all work completed to ensure it meets the required high standards

Accurately and professionally completing admin tasks (e.g. completing job cards)

‘Housekeeping’ is a critical part of the position. You must maintain the appearance of the workplace in a clean and safe manner at all times, whilst presenting yourself professionally.

About you

Honest, reliable and committed to integrity

Trade qualification is a strong advantage (mechanical, hydraulic, fitting). At the minimum, a mechanical aptitude

High attention to detail and pride in quality of workmanship

Confident with computers

Organised approach to work

Able to carry out instructions without constant supervision or re-work

Good communication skills

Willingness to contribute to the positive workplace culture and team environment

Commitment to work, health, safety, and environmental procedures

Permanent Australian work rights

Current valid driver’s license

Forklift license and first-aid certificate viewed favourably
