Remuneration: $91,596 to $99,839 pa + superannuation & leave loading
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Health Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner to help build and strengthen safety capabilities across Council. This key role focuses on supporting the wellbeing of our employees, councillors, contractors, and volunteers by promoting safe work practices and fostering a positive safety culture.
As a trusted advisor and role model, you’ll work closely with stakeholders to provide expert guidance, education and support that encourages continuous improvement and compliance with legislative standards. Partnering with the Safety and Wellbeing Lead, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and review of Council’s Health and Safety Management System and initiatives.
To be successful for this role you will require:
- A qualification in Work Health Safety at diploma level (or related discipline) and/or relevant experience working hands on in an OHS environment.
- Experience in conducting hazard identification, risk assessments and safety audits, gained in a construction or industrial environment.
- Experience in conducting or supporting incident investigations.
- Experience working collaboratively with Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), safety committees, and other stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine passion for promoting a positive safety and wellbeing culture.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Well-developed skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, web and mobile based forms and databases.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Valid National Police Check.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
