About Us
First Sunday Events is a premium wedding planning and styling company known for crafting one-of-a-kind celebrations. We work with discerning clients who value intentional design and unforgettable experiences. We’re now seeking a passionate Senior Events Floral Designer to join our close-knit team and help bring extraordinary ideas to life.
The Opportunity
This isn’t just a role; we are offering a home for the right professional looking to settle into a family they could believe in for the long term. Together we will grow the First Sunday brand with a sense of ownership and belonging.
Day to day, you’ll be trusted to do what you do best: create beauty and impact through florals. The rest of the business will look after everything else -from closing leads, styling conceptualisation, chasing payments and customer service.
As Senior Florist you will work closely with the cofounders to create your own workspace, so that it looks and functions exactly the way you would like it to.
As a creative professional, this role would be fulfilling. You’ll work on high-budget weddings where your ideas aren't just welcomed - it’s an essential part of the experience. From sculptural arrangements to unexpected materials, you’ll have the chance to dream big, experiment, and bring to life floral pieces that feel truly special.
Why Join Us?
✨ Above-market remuneration
✨ Design-first culture with ample styling budgets
✨ Minimum late-night bump-outs
✨ Great work-life balance: we only take on a limited number of weddings each year so you can do your best work without feeling burnout
✨ Supportive, tight-knit team that feels like family
✨ Long term career and sense of belonging
What We’re Looking For
You are:
Floral-obsessed: you live and breathe floral design, constantly keep up with trends, and feel most alive when creating beauty with your hands.
A creative technician: strong skills in floral construction are essential, especially for large-scale and non-traditional designs. You know your mechanics, and you’re not afraid to problem-solve on the fly.
Hands-on and accountable: You’ll take ownership of the entire process - from sourcing the perfect blooms at the flower market, to caring for them with intention, and shaping them into unforgettable designs in the event venues.
Detail-oriented: you have a sharp eye for proportion, texture, colours - among others. No detail is too small.
Experienced: As we are recruiting for a leadership role, we require you to have at least 3 years of experience in events floristry.
Versatile and creative: You enjoy a challenge. With weddings and events, no two briefs are ever the same. You are also confident working with materials beyond flowers (think: fabric, rocks, sand, etc) to bring big concepts to life.
A team player: humble, kind, and eager to achieve extraordinary results as a team.
Ambitious yet grounded: you're serious about your craft and ready to take it to the next level, but you’re also open to learning and being challenged.
Sounds like you?
