About the Role
The Data Engineer position sits in the Data Platform team in the ITS Branch. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Platform, this role will contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Data Platform and related Cloud environment. The role supports the engineering integrity of the ST Vic data platform and ensures data solutions are fit for purpose and support the Data Strategy.

Your forward-thinking nature will drive you to excel in developing innovative applications, exploring artificial intelligence and automation use cases, and envisioning transformative changes in the transport sector.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Engineering, Maths, Computer Science, Finance, Marketing, Economics or another relevant quantitative discipline will be highly regarded along with strong working experience in an analytics capability.
AWS Solution Architect or equivalent qualifications highly desirable.
Snowflake qualifications highly desirable.
Agile or Scrum qualifications desirable.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that the employee is ready, willing, and able to perform work outside their ordinary place of residence, including at ST Vic workplaces.
Other relevant information:
Preferred candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening, including a Declaration and Consent form and a National Police Check.
