The Opportunity
In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of shaping procurement policy and driving business improvement across the Department. Working closely with the Procurement Services Directorate, Commercial and Contract Management Division, and broader stakeholders, you'll help deliver smarter, more efficient procurement outcomes.

Your impact will be felt through:

Leading business improvement initiatives that streamline processes, enhance performance, and deliver tangible value to internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

A sharp eye for policy development and a passion for process improvement.

The ability to quickly grasp complex business needs and translate them into actionable solutions.

Strong collaboration skills to work across teams and influence outcomes.

A commitment to excellence in procurement governance and assurance.

Reporting to the Team Leader, Procurement Policy and Assurance, you'll play a key role in implementing change, driving innovation, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. If you're ready to make a real difference in how procurement supports public value, this is your opportunity.

About You

A proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally with a track record of successful negotiation and conflict resolution across diverse stakeholder groups.

Extensive experience coordinating and implementing programs, projects, and policies in collaboration with cross-functional teams and subject-matter experts.

Strong analytical and research skills, consistently delivering expert advice, well-structured reports, and clear recommendations under tight deadlines.

Demonstrated capability to work independently and within teams, effectively managing priorities, meeting objectives, and making informed decisions with minimal supervision.

A solid history of delivering departmental programs while navigating complex issues and collaborating across teams to provide and seek informed advice.

A commitment to continuous improvement, regularly challenging assumptions and contributing innovative ideas that enhance performance and outcomes.
