Douglas Hoskins Legal is currently seeking a full-time experienced administration assistant to join our highly regarded legal firm.

This is a full-time position with a salary based on level of experience. You will be required to work three days in our North Brighton office and two days in our City office each week, with the configuration of days to change from time to time depending on business requirements. Hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Your core duties will include:

Providing front desk and phone reception support, including managing call flows and greeting clients professionally;

Assisting with general administrative tasks across both office locations (City and North Brighton)

Diary management through Microsoft Outlook;

File maintenance, including closing files and archive maintenance;

Assisting to maintain the deed safe;

Providing overflow typing support including dictation, file notes, wills and other legal documents

Stepping into a Legal Administrative Assistant or Reception roles to cover staff leave; and

Maintaining smooth day-to-day operations of the office through proactive management of background tasks.

Skills and Experience

A minimum 2 years secretarial/administration experience is essential.

Experience in Family Law, Wills and Estates will be highly regarded.

Sound administrative and organisational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive and dependable team player, happy to take on behind-the-scenes tasks that keep the firm running smoothly.

Willingness to learn and grow into more complex administrative and typing responsibilities over time.

Competency using Microsoft products including Outlook, Word & Excel.

A knowledge of working in a legal services environment not essential but preferred.

Experience with LEAP an advantage, however not a requirement.
