About the Position

We are seeking a Director for the Direct Entry Program (DEP). The Director of the Direct Entry Program (DEP) will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Direct Entry Program. This position ensures the program's alignment with academic standards, accreditation requirements, and the mission of AEMG. As the Director, you will be responsible for managing curriculum, business development, exam preparation, faculty coordination, student engagement, and quality assurance to ensure the DEP meets the needs of international students preparing for university studies in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management:

Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of the DEP curriculum to ensure alignment with academic standards and accreditation requirements.

Develop and maintain curriculum documents, course outlines, and assessment rubrics.

Ensure the integration of academic literacy and language proficiency skills to support student success in higher education.

Monitor and update the DEP to reflect best practices in academic assessment and language development.

Ensure rigorous examination and moderation practices are carried out.

Faculty Coordination:

Recruit, induct, and provide professional development opportunities for DEP Teaching Staff

Collaborate with faculty to ensure the effective delivery of the DEP course across all branches.

Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to faculty.

Student Support:

Address student inquiries and provide academic guidance to ensure program requirements are met.

Develop strategies to support student retention and progression.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Design and implement mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the DEP’s effectiveness and outcomes.

Conduct regular reviews of the program to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

Analyse academic data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive program enhancement.

External Relations:

Act as the primary liaison between AEMG and partner universities for matters related to the DEP.

Promote the DEP as an alternative pathway for university admission to stakeholders and prospective students.

Represent AEMG at academic forums, conferences, and partnership meetings to promote the DEP.

Qualifications & Experience

PhD in Education, Applied Linguistics, or related field.

Minimum 5 years’ relevant higher education teaching experience.

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills, with a track record in program design and accreditation processes.

In-depth knowledge of Chinese & global education systems is highly preferred.

Flexibility to travel frequently to China for program oversight.
