About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Accountant or Manager to join the growing Tax and Business Advisory team at Smart Solutions, a leading accounting and advisory firm based in Brisbane. In this full-time or part-time position, you will play a key role in providing high-quality tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of small-to-medium business clients.

What you'll be doing

Manage and oversee the preparation of complex tax returns, financial statements, and other accounting documents for clients

Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimise their tax obligations and achieve their business goals

Liaise directly with clients to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored, commercially-focused solutions

Mentor and develop junior members of the team, sharing your expertise and supporting their professional growth

Collaborate with the broader Tax and Business Advisory practice to identify new opportunities and drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience in public practice or a commercial accounting role, with a strong background in tax and business advisory

Proven track record of providing high-quality, commercially-relevant accounting and tax services to a diverse client base

Excellent technical skills and a deep understanding of Australian tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically about clients' financial and business needs

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues

A tertiary qualification in Accounting, preferably coupled with a CPA or CA designation
