We are looking for a customer oriented person who is willing to carry out a range of activities within a small business. This role would be ideal for someone with a strong desire to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

Role Overview

This isn't your typical office job. There is variety and every day is different. You'll need to be prepared to deal frontline to sell to customers who present in person, as well as help customers who call or email for information and support. There will be administration, packing orders, organising logistics and offering technical support. As you gain experience there will an opportunity to visit customer sites, to do trade shows, and assist with business development. You need to have some ability to absorb technical information, and we do require you to be able from time to time to lift boxes of 20kg. You will bring initiative, a customer service mindset, and a willingness to learn, and you’ll be trained, supported, and encouraged every step of the way.

Key Duties Include:

• Be a point of contact for customer queries (email, phone, face-to-face);

• Preparation of sales proposals and quotes for customers;

• Process orders, EFTPOS payments and organise shipments to customers;

• Receive goods and manage incoming and outgoing transport invoices;

• Carry out some minor assembly work on some products when required.

Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone with:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities;

• A friendly team player with a customer-first mindset;

• Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint);

Any prior experience in customer service would be ideal, however, we are more interested in how you communicate, your willingness to learn and your genuine interest in building a rounded job profile in a small business setting.
