Our client is a boutique building services and project management consultancy delivering highly technical, architecturally driven projects across sectors including heritage, arts, wellness, and forensic engineering. About the Role: This role will suit an engineer with around 5–7 years’ experience — someone confident in delivery but ready for more. Whether currently in a senior role or just shy of it, the successful candidate will be offered the mentoring, autonomy, and exposure to begin shaping and leading the electrical discipline within the business.

You’ll work alongside the existing mechanical lead and collaborate with the broader PM and project delivery team — with the long-term aim of building up a small electrical team and becoming a key figure in the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver electrical building services designs (lighting, power, comms, security) from concept to construction
• Work across disciplines with mechanical and hydraulic engineers, project managers, and architects
• Engage directly with clients and design teams, building strong relationships
• Take initiative in identifying opportunities and expanding project pipelines
• Mentor junior staff as the team grows, and play an integral role in developing the electrical function

The Ideal Candidate:

• Around 5–7 years of experience in electrical building services
• RPEQ registered or eligible (CPEng desirable but not essential)
• Technically competent and delivery-focused, with strong documentation and coordination skills
• Eager to move beyond “business as usual” and step into a leadership-track role
• Confident dealing with clients and collaborative across disciplines
• Looking for a long-term role with genuine input, autonomy, and visibility
