We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our organization.

As a member of our valued reception team, you will be responsible for the execution of our administrative systems and processes. These help to provide support for our team of 12 clinical staff, with the objective of giving our patients the best possible experience in their health care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to employed on a Full Time Basis. Our clinics are open between 7am and 7pm, so applicants must be available to either start or finish at these times. The position will commence as soon as possible. This role will be based at our Palmyra clinic.

We place a very high importance on creating a fun and engaging, yet productive workplace environment. We are always looking at ways to improve our service delivery as a company and therefore are looking for someone who is driven by a desire to develop not only themselves but those around them.

Preferred experience

· Working in a team

· Working in medical administration/ customer service

· Processing private health claims on HICAPS machine

· Email management (directing/forwarding/filing emails to relevant recipient/file)

· Opening and closing the medical practice (arming and disarming alarm, turning off equipment etc)

· Working in an environment that can be fast paced at times (eg. multiple patients at reception and incoming phone calls)

· Multitasking and ability to prioritise tasks

· Resolving conflict with disgruntled patients/customers

· Problem solving – we welcome new ideas for processes to make them more efficient

Preferred knowledge

· Medicare CCMP (Chronic Condition Management Plans) referrals

· DVA referral pathways (Gold vs White card holders and Total Permanent Impairment vs Not)

· Workers Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accident claim process

· Basic physiotherapy knowledge – different pathologies and different appointment types (Pilates, Women’s Health, Gym Rehab, etc)

Preferred skills

· Great telephone manner

· Diary management and precision in appointment booking

· Accounts and invoicing– following up outstanding invoices with patients and third parties

· Maintaining stock levels and ordering

· Tidiness in maintaining treatment rooms and reception area
