Engineers Plus is a dynamic and fast-growing engineering consultancy, dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions for the land development and civil infrastructure sectors in Hervey Bay, Queensland. Our team of experts are enthusiastic about transforming ideas into reality, and we are looking for a competent, motivated and enthusiastic senior civil designer.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with civil engineering teams to develop detailed civil design drawings and plans for infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater systems, water supply, wastewater management, and earthworks, ensuring compliance with project scope and client specifications.

Utilize advanced 12D Model software to create precise 3D civil engineering designs, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of the drafting process.

Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD to prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, paying close attention to accuracy and design details.

Review, update, and modify civil engineering designs based on feedback from engineers, architects, and other stakeholders, ensuring all revisions meet regulatory standards and project requirements.

Ensure design outputs are aligned with company and engineering standards through thorough quality control and review processes.

Assist with project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints for multiple, complex projects.

Perform cost estimation tasks to accurately forecast and manage project expenses.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate with external stakeholders, including council officers, town planners, surveyors, and contractors, during the design and construction phases of projects to ensure seamless project execution.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

A strong track record of successfully managing multiple design projects with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Impeccable verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to inspire and work within a diverse team.

Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.

Strong working knowledge of 12D & AutoCAD Software Packages.

Competency in MS Word and Excel.

Experience in managing various civil design projects including roads, stormwater, subdivisions, and commercial developments.

The successful applicant will always be on time, presentable, and capable of working autonomously and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is preferred, but not mandatory
