An exciting opportunity is now available for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-regarded organisation in the health-care sector.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, this role offers the chance to work closely with the Finance Manager to gain valuable experience across a broad range of accounting functions.

The Role

This is a diverse and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely financial support. You will be responsible for:

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, journals, and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards (AASB), and regulatory requirements
• Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Contribute to ongoing finance projects and process improvements
• Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to provide financial insights
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed

About You:

• 3-5+ years' experience in a relevant position
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
