HCM Program Data Analyst
Macquarie Park - Hybrid
Initial 12 Months Contract
Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced HCM Program Data Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support development of Data Management and Migration Strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Assist in creating data migration designs and plans
- Help establish and maintain the program's data reconciliation framework
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to understand legacy data requirements and extraction criteria
- Contribute to data profiling activities and advise service/support units on source data cleansing
- Engage with functional teams and solution providers to understand target solution design and business rules
- Analyze legacy HCM and payroll data sources; develop source-to-target data mapping documents; serve as a point of contact for migration activities
- Work with data migration suppliers on extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
- Assist and contribute to data migration runs and related activities
- Define and document data transformation logic, cleansing rules, extraction criteria, and validation criteria
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop extraction and transformation scripts, validation reports, and processes
- Perform ongoing data reconciliation to validate and report on migration data quality and completeness
- Develop and manage data validation test cases for pre- and post-migration validation
- Identify and help resolve data migration defects, especially verification issues
- Contribute to cutover planning, including load sequencing, data dependencies, and validation activities
- Work with external suppliers and experts to build internal knowledge and facilitate operational hand-over
- Maintain relationships with program and IT stakeholders; support improvements in data governance
- Provide testing, hypercare support, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of data issues to minimize downtime
Key Criteria
- 5+ years' data analysis and data migration experience, ideally in large organisations
- 3+ years' data migration experience with HR data sets within HCM systems (employee, position and org structure data domains) preferably with payroll experience
- 3+ years' experience with SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP ERP Central Component (ECC), S/4 HANA
- High attention to detail and strong documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
