The Team:

The Property Officer - Accommodation role forms part of the Department of Health's statewide Accommodation Services team within the larger Infrastructure division. The Accommodation Services unit manages the Department's commercial and residential rental activities and office space planning. It ensures office environments are delivered in line with service delivery requirements and the Tasmanian Government Office Accommodation Fit Out Guideline.

The Role:

Organise, control and coordinate the operational management of nominated Departmental leased office accommodation and car parking sites to ensure the proper and efficient operations of their physical aspects to create and sustain safe and productive work environments.

You will need to:

  • Support and develop ongoing operational relationships with building/property managers and tenants to ensure leased office accommodation sites are maintained in accordance with all applicable contractual, statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of maintenance activities for leased buildings, including planning, procurement and oversight of works, ensuring works are carried out in the appropriate manner. When required liaise with external consultants, building owners and contractors for this to be performed.
  • Support and assist the development of the asset register and maintenance plan for leased buildings.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
