A leading organisation is on the lookout for a switched-on, detail-loving Payroll & Leave Specialist to join their People & Culture team. You'll work closely with the Payroll Team Leader to ensure every payslip is spot-on, every entitlement is fair, and every process runs smoothly. You'll also have the opportunity to be part of ongoing process improvements in a collaborative, supportive, and people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume, fortnightly payroll with accuracy and efficiency
• Manage long service leave and ensure entitlements align with NSW legislation
• Interpret enterprise agreements, awards, and policies with confidence
• Handle complex payroll tasks such as terminations, back pays, superannuation, and tax
• Resolve payroll queries and liaise with internal stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement and help refine payroll procedures
• Provide backup support to the Payroll Team Leader as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll in a large organisation
• Qualifications in payroll or accounting
• Strong knowledge of NSW Long Service Leave legislation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
• Experience using EmpowerHR or similar cloud-based systems (highly regarded)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Team player with great communication skills

Additional Requirements:

• Current Australian driver’s licence
• National Police Check
• Willingness to travel between sites if needed

Remuneration and Conditions:

• Salary: $99,666 per annum plus 12% super
• Work hours: 7-hour day, 35-hour week (70-hour fortnight)
• Business hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm or 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Locations: Lismore or Coffs Harbour NSW
• Hybrid work options: Up to 2 WFH days per week
• Immediate start available
