About the role

Swim School Area Manager – Moorooka & Stretton, Shapland Swim Schools with purpose built facilities – 32° mineral pools full Time role leading the team, facilities and operations across two sites convenient locations in Moorooka & Stretton, Brisbane, QLD with over 8 decades of swim experience.

Provide day to day operational management and administration of the swim schools and facilities. Spending equal time at each of the two schools, the role will be responsible for implementing all Shapland Swim School procedures and policies at the sites.

What you'll be doing

Manage two Swim schools spending equal time at each school.

Client service with emails and phone calls

Make sure all teaching rosters are covered

Ensure that both swim schools are kept clean and well maintained.

Customer Service:

Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanour at all times.

Implement upper management initiatives for service improvement.

Adhere to dress code (company shirt) and maintain a neat appearance.

Prioritise client satisfaction

Management:

Manage staff rosters and arrange substitute teachers when necessary.

Manage rosters (New bookings and existing clients).

Adhere to the Policies and Procedures for running the swim school.

Address client concerns and escalate issues to upper management as needed.

Utilize Google Calendar for operational transparency

Report maintenance issues to management.

Maintain industry updates for self and casual teachers.

Pool Maintenance supervise staff as needed to:

Test pool water three times daily and record results in Google Drive spreadsheet.

Manage automatic pool cleaner operation and filter screen cleaning.

Adjust pool heater temperature as needed.

Order gas from Origin Energy when necessary.

Immediately report equipment malfunctions to upper management.

What we're looking for

Enthusiasm and a genuine passion for swimming and teaching

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Willingness to learn and develop your skills as a swimming teacher

A current WWCC (Working with Children Check) or the ability to obtain one
