About the Role:
As a Recovery Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients emerging from anaesthesia and surgery. You’ll work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where teamwork and patient safety come first.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high standard post-anaesthesia nursing care in line with hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
- Monitor and assess patients’ condition during recovery and respond promptly to changes.
- Administer medications and pain management interventions as prescribed.
- Collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons and the wider perioperative team to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care as appropriate.
About You:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Recovery/PACU or Critical Care is essential.
- Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and safety.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification desirable.
