Recruiting Enrolled Nurses, Disability Support Workers &/Or Nursing Students - We are particularly seeking candidates who can support participants from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, including those who speak Bengali, Dari/Farsi or Hazaragi.

PAY RATE

Enrolled Nurses - $44.02 + penalties + superannuation (inc. cas. loading).

Support Workers / Nursing Students - $43.23 + penalties + superannuation (inc. casual loading).

We provide care and support to clients with complex health requirements including mental health. Training is delivered by Nurse Educators to individuals & organisations within the community services industry.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (depending on qualifications & participant requirements):

Approach complex situations with calm, compassion, and professionalism - your presence can be a powerful source of reassurance.

Provide support around personal care, domestic tasks, and day-to-day support requirements.

Follow client management plans such as care plans, mobility plans, behaviour plans, meal plans etc.

Use creativity and initiative to encourage and motivate clients to engage in support, work towards their goals and develop their independence.

Work closely with your fellow team members to create a smooth, stable, and positive service environment.

Support consistency and quality in programming through proper documentation and regular reviews.

Provide culturally sensitive support to clients by acknowledging and respecting their individual beliefs and values.

Facilitate communication by using translation tools, visual aids, or interpreters when language barriers exist, ensuring clients feel heard and understood.

Advocate for clients’ needs and preferences, promoting inclusivity and respect.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Ability to speak Dari or Hazaragi is highly desirable to support our CALD participants

Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse with no restrictions (ENs)

Diploma of Nursing or working towards a Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing

Certificate III or equivalent for Support Workers

Work a rotating roster with a willingness to work night duty (if required) including inactive sleepovers

First Aid and CPR certificate

Worker Screening check (or willingness to acquire)

Proven technological, communication and time management skills

A passion for providing quality care

Driver's license and own vehicle
