Seeking a kind, compassionate person to support a child with disability. This is in home and in community support in a unique service for one (the company is just for one person with disability). You get a great team environment, flexible hours, support and training. You will be empathetic, willing to learn, reliable and genuinely care for the person in your care. Advantage if you love gaming, soccer, basketball, bike riding/running and bring a sense of fun to work.
You will be supporting a child with multiple disabilities and complex medical issues. All training provided. No experience required but having an active interest (perhaps studying at uni/CIT - but not required) in nursing, education, psychology, OT or disability will make this job a great stepping stone. You get access to the wider care team and learn cutting edge neuroscience about supporting people with these specific disabilities. You get great support, above award conditions and effective, helpful paid training. You will work within a fabulous existing team.
Hours are flexible for the right candidate but you must have weekday daytime availability (hours are varied on each weekday). Between 10 - 15 hours available regularly, with the possibility of more hours in the future. Must have (or be able to obtain) WWVP, police check, right to work in Australia and NDIS support worker module. Driving licence and own car with your own comprehensive insurance is preferred but negotiable.
