Spatial Services, a division of the Department of Customer Service is the key provider of spatial land information services in New South Wales.
Spatial Services' integrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package of land and property services including property information, surveying and mapping.
Spatial Services' provides land information services to individuals, businesses, government agencies and non-profit organisations throughout NSW, Australia and internationally.
About the role:
As the Senior Cyber Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the provision of expertise and analysis to deliver timely intelligence and reporting on cyber security threats and vulnerabilities.
The role supports Spatial Services responses to cyber security issues and risks and contributes to strengthening of our cyber security posture.
The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to monitor, identify, assess and alert agencies and executives to cyber security issues, threats and vulnerabilities
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to monitor, detect, report and share cyber vulnerabilities, incidents, threats and trends
- The ability to analyse and assess cyber threats to government services, assets and information to determine attribution, motivation and capability
- Proven ability to mentor and guide staff in the timely delivery of actionable intelligence and reporting on emerging cyber threats, trends and issues affecting NSW Government
- The ability to develop and lead projects with an aim to ensure continuous improvement of the cyber security posture
- The ability to keep up-to date with the latest trends and issues in IT and cyber security risks and solutions and recommending options for executive consideration
Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $125,693 base plus superannuation
