Pat Brown Legal is a boutique law firm that assists business clients in regulated industries, predominantly in the online bookmaking/gambling industry. We undertake a mixture of front-end and back-end work across all areas of commercial law including regulatory advice and compliance, litigation, business sales and purchases, contracts, employment law, intellectual property and more.

We are looking for an experienced commercial lawyer to join our small but growing team to help us meet the increasing demand for our high quality, practical and tailored client solutions.

To be considered for this role, you must have an unrestricted practising certificate (or be eligible to obtain one) and minimum of 3 years of post-admission experience in commercial law.

Responsibilities:

· Supporting the Legal Practitioner Director with client matters.

· Managing client matters.

· Providing advice and casework in a range of areas.

· Drafting and reviewing legal documents including letters, submissions, regulator responses, and contracts.

· Preparing court and tribunal forms and documents.

· Representing our clients before courts, tribunals, commissions, and in regulator discussions

· Managing files and law firm records.

· Staff supervision.

Mandatory requirements

· Admitted as a solicitor.

· Unrestricted practising certificate (or eligibility to immediately obtain one)

· 3 years post-admission experience in commercial law

· Proficient with Microsoft Office and practice management software.

· Tech savvy and willingness to embrace new technologies.

· Independent and resilient.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· High attention to detail.

· Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
