Chippy's Outdoor is seeking an experienced Retail Sales / Office Administrator to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, Victoria. You will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the day to day running of the business, with a hands-on approach. This is a customer-facing role based in our showroom/warehouse, where you'll assist clients, manage communications, and support day-to-day sales and admin tasks.

What you'll be doing:

· Coordinating office admin processes and procedures

· Assisting with sales enquiries in store / online / phone (product knowledge will be required and developed)

· Delivering positive customer outcomes

· Building on existing, and developing new, trade customer relationships

· Undertaking quotes and customer follow-ups

· Managing workflow, delivery runs and schedules, special orders, and inventory control

· Provide office administrative support to the wider team as needed

· Assisting in other areas of the business as needed

· Coordinating staff job allocations and schedules

· Assisting to load customers from time to time

· Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness for the business

What we're looking for:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in showroom sales and office administration.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)

· Highly organised with strong attention to detail

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Proactive in managing customer workflow

· Ability to multitask in a high-pressure work environment

· Willing to diversify their skillset and assist in other areas of the business

· Knowledge in building / landscaping products OR a passion in landscape design and construction (willingness to learn products on the job)

· A forklift licence would be advantageous (but not essential)

Our Trading hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm, Saturdays 7.30am - Midday. Closed Sundays and Closed Public Holidays.
