About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Justice Services in the Northern Territory. Reporting to the Manager - Justice Services, Northern Territory, you will directly manage a team of three Supervisors and Custody & Transport Officers. This role is pivotal in driving operational plans, managing performance, resources, and risk to achieve contract objectives, and fostering a high-performing, compliant operational culture. You will ensure the seamless and compliant delivery of agreed service levels for custody, transportation, and court-related duties
More specifically you'll be responsible for:
- Executing Justice Services Contract operations daily
- Monitoring and reporting on KPIs, implementing corrective actions
- Optimising resource deployment and managing operational budgets
- Direct operational planning, rosters, and scheduling
- Ensuring rigorous process adherence and identifying improvements
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing emergency and incident management
- Providing strong leadership, training, and managing workforce planning
What we're looking for
We're seeking an adaptable leader with a strong commitment to operational excellence and duty of care to all stakeholders. You will have:
- Extensive operational leadership in custodial, law enforcement, security, or transport environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of contract management, robust frameworks and abatement regimes.
- Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Clear police clearance, relevant legal knowledge, and successful completion of all required training.
The recruitment process
G4S runs a staged recruitment process, running for 4-6 weeks, that includes:

- Attending an onsite interview with our G4S Management team members
- Background checks, including: a national police check, reference checks, and work rights verification
- A SAFE NT corrections clearance - submit and receive a full clearance from Corrections and Police NT for approval to work after training
