About the Role

We're looking for a Back End Developer who takes initiative, enjoys solving problems, and wants to make an impact. You'll work on SaaS-based web applications using NodeJS, Python, Rails or NextJS (we are looking for a grounding in 1 or more).

What You'll Need:

Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using NodeJS, with bonus points for experience in Python, Rails, or NextJS.

Hands-on experience with Serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway).

Confidence in scoping and proposing backend architecture, and communicating trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.

Experience or interest in integrating into AI models.

Confidence in suggesting Backend solutions to stakeholders.

Strong communication skills – able to explain technical solutions to project managers and clients.

A genuine passion for tech and improving how things work.

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Solid exposure to AI Development practices (This is already ingrained at Arcadian)

Nice to Have:

Experience with NextJS/NuxtJS.

Strong MySQL/MariaDB experience.

Knowledge of AWS (Lambda, EC2, CloudFront, Amplify, CodePipeline).

Familiarity with GitHub, CSS/SASS, and HTML.

Open to learning new technologies as needed.

Exposure to ClaudeAI, Cline/Cursor, ChatGPT (Fine Tuning)
