We are looking to expand our intimate retail team who is interested in learning and developing a range of skills such as customer service, sales, and inventory management.

Role details

Minimum of 3 full days a week (but ideally 4-5 days a week).

Casual employment with option to go part time or full time

Shifts spread across our two retail stores (The German Village Shop & The German Village Kandle Haus) both located in Hahndorf only 80m apart on the main street.

Weekend, School holidays, and public holiday cover are needed (These are our busiest periods).

Weekend availability is a must.

Weekday opening hours 10am - 5pm / Weekend opening hours 9:30am - 5:30pm.

Promotional tasks:

Education + Entertainment = Experience! This formula is what makes a visit to our stores unforgettable.

We wear the traditional Dirndl as uniforms.

We educate customers on the history and application of our German products (Cuckoo Clocks, German Christmas decorations, candle making etc)

Sometimes might be asked for a photograph by visitors!

General Retail Tasks:

Assisting customers in purchasing products, sales transactions, stock processing, and answering customer inquiries via email.
