Celebrated for over a decade, Blackbird now brings its signature spirit to the heart of Melbourne, located at 66 Flinders Lane, within the buzzing Collins Place precinct at Exhibition Street.

About the Role

As we gear up for our launch, we are seeking Bartenders to help deliver exceptional drinks service!

The Bartender is responsible for the timely service of alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages to bar and restaurant patrons. The Bartender has a direct reporting line to the Bar Manager. During shifts, the Bartender is also accountable to the nominated Bar Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks

Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

Plan and present bar menu

Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age

Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

Remain guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

Comply with all food and beverage regulations including the Responsible Service of Alcohol regulations

What We’re Looking For

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a busy bar or restaurant environment.

Proven work experience as a Bartender.

Hands-on experience with POS systems, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multitask.

Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team.

Knowledge of food and beverage standards and regulations, including Responsible Service of Alcohol.
