About the role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Seafood Department Manager and also need Bakery Department Manager and certificate bakers to join our team at JL supermarket pty ltd' in Adelaide, SA 5000. This is a full-time role that will see you play a key part in the smooth running and continued success of one of our major departments.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of your assigned department, ensuring targets and KPIs are met

Effectively managing and motivating your team, providing coaching and support as needed

Making strategic decisions to improve department performance and profitability

Identifying and actioning opportunities for growth and process improvements

Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and legal requirements

Collaborating with other departments to deliver a seamless customer experience

Representing your department at management meetings and company-wide initiatives

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Department Manager or Assistant Manager in a retail or consumer products environment

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams

Excellent commercial acumen and a track record of delivering results

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels

A customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service

Proficiency in using relevant retail management systems and tools

A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable

Prefer Asian cultural background who are fluent in both Mandarin and English
