About the role
Due to Company growth we will be commencing an afternoon shift in our manufacturing and warehouse team. The Manufacturing Lead is responsible for supervising and working with a small team on afternoon shift to manufacture product in accordance with business processes and quality standards. The hands-on role will also assist the Manufacturing & Logistics Manager with coordination of inventory, stock management and warehousing activities to appropriate standards whilst maintaining a safe work environment.
Duties Include:
Lead the team to ensure manufacturing targets are met each day in line with instructions provided.
Ensure accurate recording of raw material usage and finished goods to appropriate standards.
Work within the guidelines of the Safety Management System when loading and unloading goods.
Ensure correct raw materials handling and storage is in line with the guidelines.
Responsible for the team’s productivity to ensure outward orders are accurately prepared, ready for dispatch and on time.
Coordinate and complete quality assurance testing and ensure recording keeping is accurate and maintained as per the quality system requirements.
Conduct accurate daily and monthly stocktake of goods through the stocks counts and ERP.
Lead the team in completing good housekeeping practices, operating machinery and tools safely and ensuring machinery is maintained and thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
Weekly attendance to all WHS toolbox talks.
Contribute to process improvements with manufacturing and warehousing processes.
Maintain a positive and collaborative team culture.
Undertake other duties as requested by the Manager or other delegate.
What we're looking for:
Self-driven person with previous knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment and working with chemicals
Solid understanding of warehousing, stocktaking and quality standards
Experience in successfully leading a small team and providing clear instructions to ensure the shift runs smoothly and in a safe manner
Sound knowledge of Microsoft programs and able to use/learn ERP software
Strong administrative skills to maintain company records to appropriate standards
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders
Ability to follow established processes and ask questions to continually learn and assist with process improvements
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to solve production flow issues
Current Forklift Licence
Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
