TECHNICAL ENGINEER

Our client is one of Australia’s most respected building product manufacturers, delivering technically advanced solutions that are reshaping the construction industry. Known for product innovation and compliance excellence, they enable safer, faster, and smarter construction outcomes across Australia.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is the key technical interface between testing, certification, product documentation, manufacturing, and the customer. You'll ensure the company’s construction systems are compliant, simple to specify, and easy to install, while supporting the sales team and driving continuous improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Drive product testing, certification, and compliance processes aligned with the NCC and AS3600
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, installation manuals, and BIM files
• Provide technical advice and solutions to builders, engineers, certifiers, and internal sales teams
• Respond to technical queries from customers and the sales team in a timely and practical manner
• Deliver technical training and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
• Support manufacturing teams by ensuring product specifications are aligned with production capability
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance, design, and ease of installation
• Lead new product development initiatives to close gaps in the market

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering, with 3 to 5 years’ experience
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures, fire compliance (beneficial), and waterproofing (beneficial)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information
• Proven experience working directly with builders, certifiers, and engineers in a technical advisory capacity
• Skilled in AutoCAD and preparation of technical documentation
• Knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and AS3600 standards
• Customer-centric mindset and a collaborative approach to working across teams
