Customer Service Representative

The company:
Our client is a well-established manufacturer and distributor of building products. Based in Blacktown, they sell nationally through a network of warehouses and resellers. Due to continued growth, this newly created position will slot in amongst their existing customer service team and support one of their customer segments with excellent communication and coordination.

The role:
This permanent role features full training and support amongst a friendly and productive team. Based onsite at Blacktown, you will work Monday to Friday from 8:00/8:30am to 4:30/5:00pm. Your focus will always be the provision of excellent customer service via both email and telephone, and your daily duties will include:

• Be the first point of call for incoming telephone calls
• Handle customer inquiries with outstanding customer service
• Process customer orders using Jiwa to convert into picking orders and deliver to the warehousing team
• Invoicing
• Seek quotes and book relevant transport where required
• Contact customers regarding any queries with their orders, ensuring all orders are accurate
• Contact customers regarding their orders, providing delivery/despatch information
• Daily filing of orders, transport paperwork, and picking slips
• Updating customers on back orders daily
• Liaising with External Sales, Factory, and Warehouse staff to ensure prompt and accurate treatment of orders
• Learning our client's product range
• Provide backup support to the general customer service and sales teams
• Other general duties as required

Selection Criteria:

• An outstanding customer service approach
• Great telephone manner and professional written communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar customer service role supporting building, trade, or construction-related customers
• Track record of reliability
• Self-starting, energetic, and polished
• Basic spreadsheet and computer use proficiency
• Own car with a current driver's licence, as public transport is limited
• Unrestricted work rights within Australia
