At Lifeline Loddon Mallee we focus primarily on crisis support services, education, and training so that we can make a powerful impact within our community and ultimately ensure that no one in our region feels hopeless or alone.

The Role Overview

As we implement our ambitious new strategic plan, we’re seeking an experienced and proficient Business Manager to lead our operational efforts. This pivotal role will oversee the delivery of streamlining business processes and operations, with a continuous improvement model, with particular focus on:

● Human resource management, including OH & S

● Financial management and reporting

● Office daily operations (for the Bendigo and Mildura centres)

● Policy & Procedure development and implementation

● Coordination of community training

Reporting directly and working closely with the CEO, this role is ideal for someone with strong business management or operational skills, an ability to manage competing priorities with ease, a keenness to streamline processes to allow for greater impact and the confidence to lead and inspire a small but passionate team.

This role will form part of the leadership executive, it requires you to:

● Deliver leadership in alignment with the organisation values, behaviours and leadership matrix.

● Promote a positive and inclusive culture through all levels of the organisation, through your own actions and reactions.

● Mentor your direct reports to promote the culture.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business or operational management.

Strong understanding of current human resources practices, regulations and compliance.

Ability to achieve ideal business outcomes, while adhering to our values and behaviours.

Superior understanding of OH & S regulations, including implementation, active committee participation and HSR training.

High level of financial acumen, with a proven ability to develop and manage complex budgets.

Strong skills in managing enquires through to completion for revenue generating streams.

Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Competence in producing consistent and regular reporting of business and financial activities.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated experience managing a small team and leading collaborative delivery.

Highly proficient in Microsoft 365, keen interest and ability to learn new technology to benefit the business.

Desirable:

Ability to plan, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines as required

Able to be a jack of all trades to get the task done.

Curious, eager to learn, and always up for a challenge (and a laugh).
